LOTRO Rank 8, Multi-Race Kinship

LOTRO Rank 8 Multi-race Kinship

Kinship Overview

I.  PHILOSOPHY

Fellowship of Middle Earth is a Rank 7, multi-race kinship with a role-playing governing structure designed to meet each member's unique and diverse qualities, interests and strengths.

II.  GOVERNING STRUCTURE

Fellowship of Middle Earth is solely governed and managed by the kinship leader in collaboration with regional leaders and officers.  Though the leader has sole authority, the rules and regulations as outlined in the Kinship Charter are upheld under all circumstances.

The kinship is divided into regions, each of which are named after locations in Middle Earth and maintain characteristics reflective of such locations according to Tolkien lore.  There are three different types of regions with slightly differing approaches and membership size: Realms, Nations, and Kingdoms.

Realms, led by Lords, are the smallest regions that commonly have a specific crafting or military focus.  Nations, led by Governors, are large regions that usually have an even-balance of focuses while carrying a decent military force.  Kingdoms, led by Kings, are the largest regions in the kinship and have a large, organized military force and typically manage their own crafting and economy through internal crafting guilds.

Though regions carry a specific, unifying characteristics, they are by no means race or class restrictive.  For example, the Nation of The Shire is not restricted to Hobbits, the Realm of Mirkwood is not restricted to Elves, and so on.  The primary purpose of regions is to have an association of individuals who share common purpose while being part of a larger whole, the kinship.

III.  MEMBERSHIP & RANKS

New members to the kinship are given the rank of Commoner (recruit), beginning a two-week citizenship process with a particular region.  During this period of time, commoners are expected to become acquianted with the policies of the kinship and the realm/nation/kingdom.  Some lords/governors/kings may require an additional expectation for citizenship.

Members who have successfully completed the citizenship process will be receive promotion to Citizen (kinsman/kinswoman).  Citizenship of a realm/nation/kingdom will grant access to certain privileges not available to commoners such as service in a militant group or crafting guild.

The rank of Noble (officer) is granted to those whose demostrate leadership ability in their realm/nation/kingdom and have been selected by the lord/governor/king to serve a particular leadership duty.  These duties may include, but are not limited to, recruitment, army management, or guildmaster.

As a partial role-playing kinship in regards to governing structure, members will need to regularly identify themselves according this approach to gameplay.  When asked as to where the member hails, the member is to respond appropriately such as: "I am a Citizen of the Nation of Bree-Land" or "I am a Noble of the Kingdom of Gondor."

Members will also be required to player-note themselves on the kinship tab on the social panel as to which realm/nation/kingdom they serve and list their corresponding rank, using this order: "Mirkwood - Commoner".  Additionally, indentification must be listed at the top of each member's personal LOTRO bio, like so: "Realm of Mirkwood, Citizen".

All members of the kinship must abide by the guidelines outlined in the Kinship Charter and must treated each other with respect as outlined in Article V, Section 3 of the Charter.  Failure to comply with these rules and regulations may result in expulsion from the kinship.
